Perhaps it's time for an equalizer in Spotify?
I really like Spotify as a platform - it's simple, elegant and quick to load up and use.
However, I find the lack of an equalizer a little bit frustrating at times. I frequently use headphones for Spotify whilst I'm at work - but unfortunately the levels through spotify can't be edited, so sometimes low-bass is missing, mid-ranges sometimes sound too high. Of course, treble never really seems to be an issue with headphones.
Perhaps I've just been mollycoddled by apps like Winamp and WMP with their software EQs, but it would be really nice to see this functionality introduced to the Spotify app. Perhaps with the advent of the developer platform this idea may see some fruition.
Any thoughts on this, anyone?

Inappropriate?I agree excellent product would be a benefit to have an equaliser incorporated into the software for the same reasons as the author of this thread. I currently run it through my dolby surround sound at home and sounds superb. Wouldn't live without it!!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I like how light and nippy Spotify currently is, and wouldn't enjoy seeing it get loaded down with extras -- perhaps a plugin architecture would be useful for those requiring things like EQs etc.

Inappropriate?Definitely Winamp -styled equalizer is needed.
(And "now playing" -add on / script)
