Remove duplicate tracks from playlists.
I think you should be able to right click a playlist and remove duplicate songs.
(Im confident because im sure this will be added to later versions :) The Spotify team has probably alredy thought about it)

I would actually like to set the properties for a playlist to either allow duplicates or not. That way, I could drop an entire playlist into another and be sure that I get a true combination of the two.

Inappropriate?Here's a way to do it (But it really should part of spotify)
1. Select all tracks in a playlist
2. Copy them (ctrl-c)
3. In Excel (2007) paste them
4. In the data menu, remove duplicates
5. Select and copy in Excel
6. Paste into a new playlist in spotify -
Inappropriate?I agree with jeromk. This should be part of Spotify. The drag-and-drop feature to create a merged playlist would be a killer. That way, you could organize your personal "library" as a series of playlists that cound be dropped into one another to create new ones.
Why not take the full step and instead of playlists use tags? A playlist would then be a certain tag (or tags) grouped together and the results sorted in a specific way. This is already the way the data model works, but the term "playlist" associates too much with a physical entity. If you use tags (as an additional way, perhaps), the organization would be more intuitive. Look at Picasa and how they create albums by using tags.
