Single-click unintentionally plays song in search result

In OS X running Spotify 0.3.11 r42958, when I single-click on a song in a search result, it starts playing right away, while I only wanted to drag in onto my playlist (that is currently playing some other song).

How do I stop Spotify from playing immediately the song I've searched up? I single-clicked the song to select it before dragging it onto the playlist. Dragging it directly does not seem to start playing the song - but I didn't want to do this because the lines in the result are quite tight together and I wanted to be sure I had selected the correct song first.

I did not expect the other song to start playing on a single click - I expected to have to double-click the song or to click a little Play-icon (like in iTunes). This makes it quite difficult to listen to other music while making a playlist in Spotify - it's quite annoying and I have to go back to the playlist - remember which song I was playing - start it again - and then fast-forward to roughly the right point in the song.

Note that this doesn't seem to happen every time - for instance if I click in the space after the title of the song it doesn't seem to play directly - but if I click the title (which one often is forced to if the song title is long) - it does seem to play. Some consistency would also be nice. :-)

Recommendation: When another song is playing - specially from a playlist - only start playing on double-click. Introduce a little Play-icon that appears after a single-click (to avoid 5000 play-icons tight together) - clicking this also plays the song.
