Spotify AppleScript dictionary?
It would be awesome if you could add a somewhat comprehensive AppleScript dictionary to Spotify.
This would not only be great for people with disabilities, but it would make for extremely easy integration with other applications, and I'm pretty sure that's something you want to happen, as there are only SO many Spotify devs, and they can't work on making plugins for each and every requested application ;-)
Can I have one this week? ;-)
Please?
Pretty please with aspartame on top? :-)

Inappropriate? This would be awesome. You would be able to amend the adium %_music command to show what music you're currently listening to for example.

Yup.. or have another application find out what's in a Spotify playlist etc.
Basically, with a decent AppleScript dictionary, we on the Mac side of things will be able to do 90% of what we'll be able to do with a more full-blown API.
Implementing AppleScript functionality is rather simple, in comparison to implementing a full-blown cross-platform API, but I can wait a teensy weensy bit longer before I start crying tears of PPC assembly -
Have you tried Growl?

Inappropriate?I was trying to implement a Now Playing AppleScript for Spotify earlier using UI Scripting since they didn't have a dictionary, but that wasn't working either. I'd definitely love a dictionary so it could be so much easier!

Inappropriate? If you were able to have Spotify add your play queue as a playlist in iTunes we could then use iTunes to broadcast via AirTunes. Don't know how easy that would be for Spotify to implement though.

Inappropriate?Seems like a good idea but the relatively small Mac userbase might make cross-platform features more appealing right now.

Inappropriate? It's impossible to use Spotify on a remote controlled media centre setup right now because you can only build remote control scripts for the very few commands that have menu entries. Moving between playlists etc requires mouse movements that can't be scripted.
As a workaround that could be implemented quickly, it should be possible to implement some menu commands for moving between playlists at the very least. That, with the current set of commands for play/stop/pause makes Spotify at least slightly useable in a media centre.
I’m frustrated
