Spotify causes WIndows 7 and Vista to lag

On Windows 7 Spotify constently freezes my computer and causes it to lag. This only started happening with the latest version of spotify. Before it ran fine. I get this problem on both 32-bit and 64-bit and even on Vista I get this problem.

1 problem is that it causes my computer graphics to lag and such.

Another problem is that sometimes when I go into the start menu the spotify icon is white and just a little file icon and it freezes the start menu. It never did this on the previous versions. Please get this fixed as I have uninstalled Spotify untill It gets fixed.
