Spotify reported I had synced to three devices and wiped my synced data
I did a restore of my iPhone from a backup today. After this had finshed I launched Spotify which promptly told me that I had synced content offline to more than three devices and wiped my synced tracks.
I have only ever synced to this iPhone, so surely this would have counted as my 'second' device after the restore?

Inappropriate?Strange, that shouldn't happen. Is it possible that when you did a restore you wiped the Spotify cache clean? If so it could be an incorrect error message if Spotify can't find the cache?
-
That's what I intially thought, but the phone restored the backup ok and there wasn't any data missing from any of my other applications. I'm sure I briefly saw all the playlists marked as downloaded before the message appeared. The message did explicitly say that it was erasing the cache.
This isn't an issue any more as all my playlists have synced back, I just thought you might want to know about this problem, as rare as the circumstanes might be. -
Ok. Good to hear it's working. I'll pass the feedback on to the developers. -
Inappropriate? This happened to me also after upgrading the iphone from 3.0 to 3.1.
I restored a backup with no errors but when I started spotify after the restore it said i had synced to 3 devices. I don't have spotify on 3 devices.
I’m wondering what the problem is

Inappropriate?my situation is slightly different - I had a warranty replacement of my iphone having already registered two other devices along with it. my new replacement iphone has after 12 or so hours being fine decided to give me the same error and clear my offline playlists. bastard!

Please can you help -
Inappropriate?Had my iPhone replaced twice and it now says I have syncd to 3 devices - despite only having one phone - GRRRRR!!!!!
I’m pissed off

Inappropriate?Hi Guys,
After you get this info of 3 devices. exit Spotify, try again to add a playlist available for offline. This usually solves the problem.
-
Inappropriate?Me too - did a restore on my iPod Touch yesterday (which didn't affect any Spotify items) and this morning it came up 'synced to more than three devices' and wiped my offline playlists. I've only used Spotify Premium on two machines (laptop and iPod) and no-one else has my login details.
Hope you can get this fixed, guys, as I'm paying £120 a year for this service and don't expect this kind of problem.
I’m worried it'll happen again

Inappropriate? This just happened to me too, after trying (and failing) to install the new iPhone update, I lost everything on my phone, then got it back with all the data missing, now this! Frustrating doesn't cover it.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Can't see the point of having a premium account if I can't get this to work. Perhaps we could ask spotify to reset the account or someting?

Inappropriate?I reported the same problem Airbus my HTC Hero. But it omkull happened the first Day. After that it has worked perfectly.
