Stream to an Airport Express directly from Spotify
I am using Airfoil on Windows to stream Spotify to another computer or Airport Express.
And then it hits me. Why can't Spotify do this by itself, like iTunes? It would be marvellous to be able to select an Aiport Express directly from Spotify... built-in Airfoil support wouldn't be too hard to accomplish? Together with the guys at http://www.rogueamoeba.com/ perhaps.

Inappropriate?Good idea, Spotify would be pretty much as good as it could get if it starts to more easily support things like the Airport Express, Playstation, XBOX, iPhone etc., or as soon as they release open API's. Then things will start to get interesting.
BTW, iTunes is bound to support Airport Express, they're both Apple :-)

Inappropriate?Replying to my own idea, having Airport support in Spotify for iPhone would make things rock bigtime. A real Squeezebox Duet killer...
I fail to see where the problem lies - the guys at Rogue Amoeba have already done it, talk to them or Apple or do it yourself? How hard can it be? ;)
The main general advantage of having Airport support directly in Spotify is that even my parents could use it. Adding the extra Airfoil step just doesn't bite for them. -
Inappropriate?I hope to see this feature integrated soon. It’s the one reason I wouldn’t pay for Premium. Having to drag that damned cable across the room is a real ‘turn off’.
The AirFoil application doesn’t offer a good enough user experience.

Inappropriate?I just bought a DacMAgic (digital to analouge converter) that I connected via toslink to Airport Express. When using Itunes it works fine but with Spotify and Airfoil I get dropouts :( I've tried other DAC's but most of them have this dropout problem. So if you would build this into Spotify like in Itunes that would be great!!!!
Make sure you try it with DacMagic my favorite DAC among all the ones I ́ve tested and it's not expencive! -
