Inappropriate?this is a great idea, you could link up with the ones on media player or winamp, as they would be already on our computers it would not take much.

Inappropriate?You could use a standalone audio visualiser such as NoiseCradle:

You can set it up to capture audio directly as it is played through the soundcard, so it can react to audio played through any media player (provided you are using Windows). Pretty neat effects too!
