Web service support for creating spotify playlists?
We are building some music exploration, discovery and recommendation tools - we are using Spotify to supply the music. We'd really like the ability to be able to create spotify playlists via the spotify web services. Alternatively, i'd be just as happy if spotify could import XSPF-style playlists from a URL.

Inappropriate?XSPF import is coming, though initially only through the client application. We have some really cool things up our sleeves when it comes to integration with other web apps, but we're not quite ready to go public with that.
As for creating and manipulating playlists through a web service, we need some way to support authentication over the web first. Several options are available, but we haven't made all decisions about that, and we don't have the infrastructure in place. We see the need, though.

Inappropriate? What I'd also like is just being able to "convert" artist and album name to a spotify album link. I'm guessing it would be a lot easier than creating a new playlist.

Inappropriate?I would suggest a solution where the browsing through the spotify cataloge could be free (like when you browse discogs etc.) and then provide a spotify link to each track/album/artist that could be integrated in an 3rd party solution. Browsing format could be xml
