Which ports do I have to open?

Hello.

On my machine it seems to always (or so far anyway) use port 34516 however I expect this won't be the case on all machines.

You can find out fairly easily which port your client is listening on.

Simply by following the steps below (for windows):

1. press Win+R to open the run dialog box.
2. enter 'cmd' and click ok.
3. now type in 'netstat -ab' and press return/enter
4. search for an instance of the text spotify.exe
5. check that the local address starts with 0.0.0.0:
6. take the value after the colon.

Note: You may have many lines that mention spotify.exe so make sure you get the line that has the local address as stated above.

If you are running on linux I can again post the instructions for you just let me know... but mac your on your own... sorry.
