Why can't Spotify come out with a playlist organizer?
Almost every day you read a question about playlists. Spotify is wonderful, but it's a lame service if you can't organize your playlists. I save albums as playlists since there's no other way of saving albums, resulting is loads of unorganized album information. PLEASE, PLEASE can't you do something about this and at least offer a function for sorting playlists into folders?
Maybe the folks behind Spotify plugins (http://code.google.com/p/spotify-plug...) could do something about it, if you can't??

Inappropriate?I came here to ask this very question. I make a lot of playlists, and since I want to keep most of them, having every single one listed one after the other is quite an annoyance.
Being able to sort them in folders would be absolutely brilliant. -
Inappropriate? If you come here and see the question asked every so often, why don't you lend your support to one of the existing threads on the subject, rather than polluting the forums and insulting Spotify?
They read every single thread posted, and I can assure you you'd drool if you got to see a list of upcoming enhancements.
The service has only been publicly available for 3 months -- they haven't let anyone down yet by my count, so cut them some slack, will you?
I’m annoyed

Oscar, if I'd found a thread, I would have commented in it.
Since as far as I know they haven't published any list of enhancements and I have read nothing about this enhancement coming, what do you expect?
And BTW, if you think this constructive criticism with a specific suggestion for improvement and for solving the problem is "insulting", I suggest you buy a dictionary in order to look up what the word insulting means. You can also see that the word "lame" in English does not have the same connotation as the word "lam" in Swedish, if that's what you found "insulting" to the people at Spotify... -
Given that you said "Almost every day you read a question about playlists." it's pretty safe to assume that you've seen the multitude of playlist-related threads.
If you want to find them again, all you have to do is click the "playlists" tag you added to this very thread.
As to the insulting part, it was indeed "lame" that I picked up on.
If you actually meant it literally, then fair enough -- but I've hardly ever seen the word "lame" used in its original meaning, and you'll find that in general, UrbanDictionary agrees that it's more often than not used in a demeaning way.
My main point still stands though -- search before you post, and if you find a relevant thread: post in it! It's a lot easier for the Spotify team to browse the wish list by number of posts or supporters than it is to summarize lots of different threads on the same subject.
It's basic netiquette, really.
Either way, I can assure you that the developers aren't resting on their laurels. -
Oscar, For the meaning of words in the English language, I think I would trust my own command for my own mother tongue rather than a web dictionary. As far as threads are concerned, I of course should have hooked on to another one. (If you want a good and dependable dictionary, I would suggest: http://dictionary.cambridge.org, or for several ones: http://www.onelook.com. -
You're missing the point about urban dictionary.
Its use is not meant to be a dictionary per se, but rather demonstrate the contemporary uses of words and phrases.
Does "lame" still carry its original meaning?
Absolutely, but for the past, oh, fifteen years, I've more commonly seen it used in the form of an insult, much like the Swedish word "lam".
In other words, it largely depends on context, and in the context of people on the Internet wanting something, I'm afraid I'm more likely to associate it with negative comments rather than functionality.
In other words, while you could've used a more suitable word, I shouldn't have automatically assumed that you meant it in an insulting manner.
I hope that settles our little debate; otherwise there's always the dust road and pistol slinging at 3pm ;-)
