Why does spotify bypass the proxy and try to go directly to the internet?
This is the message I got from my companys support department:
"We observe portscans, attempts to bypass proxy (http/https) and attempst to connect to external addresses on high ports.
Host has a lot of blocked traffic in our internet firewall"
I have configured Spotify to use a proxyserver, but still it tries to go directly to the internet - why is that?
This could mean that Spotify will be banned from our company... :-(

Inappropriate?i have been monitoring the traffic spotify is generating with resource monitor in vista/win7 and sees that it is using a lot of TCP connections and all of them is using random ports.
the traffic via TCP 47538 and 21328 UDP is used only for small controll comunication. so the traffic that goes trough your proxy is only requests for other p2p with the song you are seeking
so it seems
