Why does spotify think I have moved when I have only moved desks in the same building
HI I was using the free version of Spotify yesterday and but today (after moving desks but not more than 12/15 feet from my old desk) and Spotify is now telling me that 'Your current location does not match that set in your profile. You may travel with Spotify, but only for 14 days.' is this normal and how can I stop the message appearing in future?

Inappropriate? It's likely that you're work is sending internet traffic via another country which doesn't match the one you set in your profile which is why you're getting this message.
You can check what your IP address is and see which country it's originating from.

Hi Andres, thanks for your reply, not sure why it would have changed overnight? Anyway followed the link you supplied and the IP address is shown as Harlow UK whihc is the same country as setup in my spotify profile... Still not sure why Spotify thinks I have changed location.
Cheers

It's possible that there's a mistake in our GeoIP database, can you email support@spotify.com and provide the IP address you got from that site as well as your username and they can help out. -
Inappropriate? So if you move house you have to change stuff on your profile, im moving in a month which means my ip address will change

No, you shouldn't have problems. This issue usually only occurs when we mistakenly think your IP is coming from another country (or your office routes traffic somewhere else). You shouldn't have problems if you're just switching residential broanband lines.
