Why doesn't my current location match?
Why does my client claim that my current location does not match the the one I have set in my profile?
Edit: I realised that I didn't clarify that I have set the correct postal code for my current location, and that's why I ́m confused.

Inappropriate?Check you IP address to make sure it's coming from the country set in your profile. We've had some cases where ISPs in the south of Sweden show their location as Denmark which has caused some problems.

The message should be gone now, I'm not 100% sure why you were getting it. Have you used Spotify in different locations or always from the same internet connection?

I have used Spotify at work a couple of times, and I recently moved but only within Lund (also changed ISP when moving). -
Inappropriate?I live in the most southern parts of Sweden, I use spotify at home only and been doing that for quite some time ( Spotify Free) recently I've gotten the same problem with "Your location does not mat..."
So many days without spotify is making me go crazy.. any solution?

It seems like your IP addresses isn't properly registering with us or the IP location services. Are you running any sort of anonymous proxy? Have you asked your ISP what IP ranges they use?

but how come it just changed one day? Nothing with my isp has changed the last 5 years -

Are they on the same internet connection? Unless you're running some sort of proxy or anonymous service you should have the same IP as them.

Inappropriate?We're allowed to have 2 mac adresses connected, so 2 ips nothing else but my ip is different from theirs I'm just confused right now..
3 computers, 2 IP adresses (1 is using internet connection sharing) both theirs are working just fine

Inappropriate?Hi, I'm a Norwegian girl who've just moved to another location within Norway to study. I got the same message, that my location didn't match my profile. So I checked my IP-adress, and discovered that it was located in Eskilstuna in Sweden. What I did was to change my postal code so it fit Eskilstuna in Sweden. No I can listen to Spotify once again.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem as Lundin, suddenly Spotify says I've changed my location - which I haven't. Ran the whatismyipaddress as suggested by Andres and it said Sweden, as expected. Please look into this.

Inappropriate?I have a related problem. I access my employer's network through VPN. As a result, even though I am at home in Scotland, my IP address comes up as being in Germany. So now Spotify won't let me listen. When I am not on VPN my IP address is consistent with my UK postcode and things are OK.
Is there any way around this? I wish I'd created a second (work) free account when I could :-(
