Why have many songs "Album Version" after the song title?
It is really ugly when it says Album or Single Version after the title. Isn't it unnecessary too? I mean, you can see if it is the album or single version under the "album column".
I hope that you can at least fix a setting that makes it the way it was before!

Inappropriate?yeah, what's up with? it's all over the place, it's quite unnecessary and it looks a little messy. is this something you're applying to the whole music library, or is it merely a bug?
-
Inappropriate?I agree. I hope it's just a temporary thing. Same goes for Bruce Springsteen being replaced by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Please fix!
I’m still happy

Inappropriate? Those tags were added at the request of the record labels to properly distinguish songs. We'll see if we can find some compromise that doesn't cause problems scrobbling etc.
-
Why not change it so that the "single" or "album" text is added as metadata to the tracks and then the UI could display it but leave it out when scrobbling. -
We're likely just going to remove it completely as most users don't seem to like, we're not very happy with it either. -
That works for me too. But having it as metadata would enable us user to search for only the album version of a track for example, doubt that it is worth the effort to implement though. -
Inappropriate?I don't scrobble or anything like that, I just find it really... ugly. If you're playing an album then the song is very very likely to be... the album version! It's really unnecessary.
A better idea would be to just write "single version" on the singles as there are less songs that are singles, and more tracks are from albums on Spotify.
So if theres nothing written after the title track, then we just assume it's the album version.

Yes, please get rid of the "album version" stuff. It makes me mad. :-) -
Exactly, I'd say that a track on an album is the album version by default. Hopefully we'll get rid of this soon. -
Inappropriate? How about stripping the "album version" from the title that you report to Spotify?
Apart from scrobbling I think it's messy and stupid, but doesn't bother me that much.
-
Inappropriate?Meta-info like this has no place in the title. For most tracks, it's also completely superfluous, as Spotify already shows whether I'm playing an album or a single. The only use I see is to identify which tracks are included on compilations. But please leave it out of the song title!
And yeah, it pollutes my scrobbling data, too.

Inappropriate?I hate this too. My two most played artist Plies and Young Jeezy both have stupid names. I'm near to stop using Spotify.. I hope that Spotify delete stupid names because my last.fm looks awful now.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Lots of albums got this issue (yet again) during last week, or at least that's when I found out about it. Album version, LP version, etc. It looks a bit messy, but worst of all - it messes my last.fm stats up!

Inappropriate?http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/to...
Like I said in this thread, i can't use Spotify because of this. Everything that isn't in the real title doesn't belong there.
I’m also the walrus

Inappropriate?Last night I listened to a Graham Nash album and it was fine, I go to listen to it today and every track is suddenly "LP version". It's pointless and annoying. It ruins stats on last.fm and unless an album is filled with singles (which the Nash one certainly wasn't) there's absolutely no point in specifying if it's an album version or not.
