Why is the playlist size so limited ?
I recently joined Spotify and am somewhat dissappointed with the restriction in playlist size - I just want one playlist with all my prefferred music but it won't let me add any more to the list - I'd guess I need up to around 100,000 entries.
If I pay for a premium account will I be able to add more ?
Also if I pay for a premium account will I get tracks by (the real) Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the Beatles ?

Inappropriate?Given an average of 3 minutes per song, 100000 tracks represents 208 days of continuous listening. Ar you sure you need more music than that in a playlist? ;)
Apart from that, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the Beatles all refuse to license their music to Spotify (see http://www.spotify.com/en/help/faq/#m...). Vote with your listening habits and stop listening to their music! That's what I've done.
I’m amused

Well I like a wide selection on random play - I like to specify the selection but have a wide range played back and under 10,000 is a little limited - 100,000 was a bit of an exageration probably around 30,000 would easily be enough :)
I'd love to know why The Beatles, Led Zep and Pink Floyd (among others) have refused to allow tracks on Spotify when they do allow tracks on Jango. -
Inappropriate? The size is limited mainly because having lists of 100k and over are a big strain on our servers. Most users have much less in their lists.
-
There's a simple fix for that - add the option for user's playlists to be stored on their local machine instead of on Spotify servers - that way the lists could be any size at all and the strain on the servers would actually be less than it is now - obviously that needs to be optional since it would mean each user would have to have separate playlists on separate systems. -
Inappropriate? The option does not excist in mac version.
Besides.. that kinda loses the point of the playlists then.
If I only can have them on my computer..and not use them on an other computer or share them... -
Inappropriate?"...lists of 100k and over are a big strain on our servers..." ???
How does this compare to last.fm?
Last.Fm has tons of Afropop music, where others had little to none. They (last.fm) seem to be a current gold standard for breadth. What is the angle and purpose for copying these music services ad nauseum? Not that I care for Last.fm all that much; I came here to find something better. What will make Spotify betters? And, why would people move lists between Last.fm and Spotify?
