Why not stream instrumental music in midi format?
This idea would fit at most at the soundtrack/instrumental area of the music universe, but why not consider a possibility for the content providers to provide midi streams in spotify? They would save a lot of expensive bandwidth. I know it would requires more parsing of the music at the client side, but computers are becoming faster at an increditable speed today.
Maybe a feature to even get the correspondeing text and notes in the spotify, so musics can train their skills via spotify?

Inappropriate?Never mind the nabdwidth considerations, which a lot of people wouldn't see the point of.
What about editability of midi formats? I'd also like to see piano score, guitar tabs and drum charts provided. Surely this would suit the business model exactly as well as the mixed down music, if not more so?
I feel strongly about this since I remember a lot of copyright issues for my piano teacher, who simply wanted to provide score for us to learn from. There were are few sneaky photocopies; we borrowed some things; other things we bought ourselves because we liked them so much.
I think a business model that can provide free sheet music legally would do a great service to music.
I’m excited
