Window maximize behaviour doesn't seem Windows conform

I'm using the "mac style toolbar" ObjectDock from StarDock and I have configured it to disappear when the current application is maximized. However it fails to notice when I maximize/restore Spotify.
This is a problem since the toolbar covers the play controls.
I also have the "white border problem" already reported when TaskSwitchXP is running.
