It would be great if we could update/add plans from the web app, using your API.

Inappropriate? This is a very interesting idea, and one I've been chewing on lately. Can you give me some more detail for the use case and workflow you need it for? That'll help me figure out the best way to offer it.
I’m intrigued

Inappropriate?Personally, I would like to allow my clients to create subscription plans in the admin system for their website, which we create, and for this detail to be saved on Spreedly's end.
That way they don't have to manage two accounts or pieces of software. Or we don't have to create new plans for them.
Also it would allow for templated Plans which could be easily dropped in via API calls rather than through a web form. So much faster.

Inappropriate? This has suddenly become a big deal for me. I've a client who's going from a 5 plan setup to where the customers can mix&match items rather than pick a predefined package. However, they still want it to end up as a single monthly subscription.
The solution I've come up with is to dynamically create a plan using an API based on the permutation the user picks (and later users will automatically use the newly generated plan).

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? So i implemented a java api that will create sites, and add/edit/disable subscriber plans. It works somewhat well in my application allowing me to host the UI for spreedly integration.
