Really? I can't make my own templates OR copy springpads?

Springpad is amazing. I've only been using it for 2 days and I can't believe I didn't know about it before. At the rate I'm going, I'll be closing accounts for many other web-based organizing tools I use because I can do so much in springpad. HOWEVER, I am stunned that I can't make my own templates. That seems like an incredibly basic, obvious thing to be able to do. I would never get a paid account without that capability. If I have an amazing idea for a template, I really have to send it to you and wait for you to have time to set it up? That's cumbersome and unnecessary - not to mention completely against the spirit of web 2.0. And what if my idea is for a template that no one would ever find useful except me? I'm not likely to get it, am I?

If enabling custom templates would really be very difficult, there's a super-simple workaround: let me COPY my springpads. Then I could make a springpad using the format that I want, and copy it again and again, allowing me to essentially use it as a template. Copying would be extremely useful anyway - I could essentially split springpads into a version for sharing and a version to keep private. E.g., I could make a copy of a list of great date restaurants and share it, but I would also have a separate copy where I would enter private mushy details like what hubby and I did after a particular dinner, or which restaurant we were at when he asked if we should have kids soon and I got all excited and started crying . . . well, I'll stop, but you get the picture.

Anyway, springpad is really an incredible tool and I'm very impressed by how flexible, easy to use, nice to look at, and just basically useful it is. But these are very basic features, can we get them please?
