Legacy Plans Drive Customers Away
I have legacy plan - 1500 minutes, plus a Sprint mobile card for my PC - it's mind boggling to me that my service doesn't cover texting - times change - Sprint you should be proactive - provide a plan that will work for you as times change. Now all I want to do is have my multi-year contract end (which it doesn in Nov) and search for a better plan.

Inappropriate? There should be no reason you shouldn't be able to switch plans. Call Sprint and see.

You didn't answer the above posters question. This is a common tactic used by companies who hire employees to spam online sites.
It makes it appear as if you are trying to be helpful, but is really just spam. -
Not a Sprint employee at all. I even have a complaint about the way their website is and how they removed a feature of it.
How would you like me to answer his question?
Sprint lets you change plans without extending your contract. Sprint offers unlimited Data and unlimited texting int heir plans. Do you want me to call the person stupid for even complaining about it since it's an obvious fix?
My statement stands "call Sprint and change it."
I'll even add, there are a couple plans that will do what you are looking for and NONE of them involve extending his contract.
So yes, I DID answer it but, just in case not all the facts are presented-like he's not the account holder for example-I said "call" instead of saying "just switch plans, there are numerous ones that will do what you want." -
Inappropriate?Sprint Employees are encouraged to engage in criminal fraud. This includes but is not limited to misrepresentation of service plan costs and or enlisting you in services you do not want or require.
I had a legacy plan too, with unlimited text messaging included. It was called the Sprint Family Free & Clear Plan. I still have the original brochure.
When I went to buy a new phone, I was lied to and told my plan would remain the same if I wanted, but that I wouldn't be able to use the new Sprint Vision services. That was a lie.
The plan immediately was changed, and the Sprint sales representative who two days earlier power to change the plan when I was buying the phone now referred me to customer service. When if i could return the phone, I was told I could return the phone for a full refund, but there is nothing that they can do about reversing the plan back to the way it was.
Text messaging technology DID NOT CHANGE (quit misrepresenting facts, if you say that the technology to send text messages has changed, then you are a liar)
What changed, was Sprint's internal name for text messaging, it went from "SMS Text Messaging" to "Casual Text Messaging" and now what was once included with your plan, is now an add on feature.
Plain and simple, these people are liars and they hide behind word games to twist facts into their own rationalizations.
I’m ANGRY

Not withstanding your flame on me, I agree with you. I had a customer service rep tell me that I was getting free activation and free shipping on my new phone. In addition to that, the rep confirmed that I get 2 batteries with the new Instinct like the old one had.
I get the phone, one battery. I get the bill, I'm charged activation and shipping. I go to return the phone because it was bought because of the CS lies.
When I went to order my new phone, I was told I shouldn't get free shipping/activation and I'd be charged these fees for the new phone.
What the hell????
Once I get my new phone, I plan to call to see if they can resolve the problem but I'm not hopeful as they would rather have me return the phone that give me the battery like they promised.
