SMS Sprint to Megaphone

I cannot sms between Sprint and Megaphone (Eastern Europe). Sprint says they do not have an agreement with Megaphone and insinuates they would if they could. Megaphone says nuh uh, it is Sprint. Anyone know the real skinny and if there is a way around problem?
