And yes, I touched the money in the swiss account, I was trying to figure out what was going on. There's also a bug with selling hardware on the black market, you get a whole lot less than 80% of the purchase price back. ( Delete or Edit)

Ic, I should get back the liquid money that I had since I didn't touch the Swiss account. Actually, I am fine being back to level 1. If players have already started using the reset account does it stay that way?

We're doing the best we can to keep these exploits from occurring, but at the same time it is people like @partridge that are also making the game unfair. We will be reinstating legitimate accounts. ( Delete or Edit)

Your doing it badly. You do need to rebalance the game after exploits disrupt the economy, but there are more creative ways to do it that don't piss off the bystanders. If you aren't familiar with Kingdom of Loathing, you should read up on how they handled the problem:

I'm vaguely familiar with KoL, but not with how they've handled exploits.
We *are* in beta, and we're trying the best we can do make the quickest decisions we can. We aren't going to get everything right, but we're going to try to do things in a way that's as fair as possible with our limited resources.

You wrongfully have assumed that the money in our accounts was a result of the so called Rogue Agents...it was NOT. Some of it yes, all of it no.

If a drug dealer buys a half million dollar car and is then caught by the FEDS, they do not go to the car dealer and demand he return to the government the money paid for said expensive car. As one example, I was in a fight with another player here (assasination attempt). He attacked me once and won, tried it again and lost, so I attacked him as I felt I had a chance...those two fights garnered me some 200 Million and change...you took both the Swiss Account money, and the money that I WON GAMING. Further, you have violated the terms you set yourself for our Swiss Funds....to keep them SAFE AND SECRET. ( Delete or Edit)

I don't agree. I have about 5000 followers and only 113 are spymasters... it's not easy getting people to play. Also there is a huge random element in attacking and defending. ( Delete or Edit)

I understand, I tried to beat some level 1's when I was much higher and lost. As I said there is a HUGE amount of randomness to it. I don't know what goes into it but I lost a bunch of times to people I should have beat and I've beaten people I should have lost to. I wish it made more sense. ( Delete or Edit)

Being your follower doesn't get me access to your weapons. When you attempt an assassination, you get a bonus for having me as a spymaster follower, and having an extra high-level weapon for my spymaster to "use" in your assassination attempt gets you a bonus multiplier. But when I am playing, i never see the weapons you have, and get no money when you succeed in assassinating someone. In short, there is no benefit for me to follow you unless you follow me back.

I'm rapidly losing interest in the game. as far as I can tell, money has no real function. You need a small amount to buy weapons for your spy ring, but beyond that, money is just a distraction. Having $80 billion wouldn't make getting from level 6 to level 7 any easier, faster, or more interesting than doing it with $80 thousand.

The only part of the game that would be fun is assassinating other players, and its totally broken. The "worthy opponents", even the "medium" risk ones, always way out match you, so you'll only win if you get lucky beyond any reasonable probability. If you scour twitter for weaker opponents to enter manually, you still lose most of the time, unless you go for level 1 newbs with no followers (in which case you might win $4). You win more money from other people attacking you than you ever make by attacking them. The only motivation to attempt an assassination is boredom.

I thought maybe as I got further along in the game, it might become more involved. But at level 6, the game is still waiting around so you can click a button, and then waiting some more. The game needs new features, and fast. ( Delete or Edit)
