Inappropriate?I think, there is a risk calculator, like in task section. So in every 5 mins cycle, each safe house's risks' of getting a revenue is calculated. If you succeed to get a revenue (luckily) with based on safe house's some properties and a proportion revenue value.
This is what I test and see :)

Inappropriate?Seth, Murat is correct. You receive a fraction of the income of a safe house every 5 minutes. Check your liquid assets after a refresh cycle and see how much that is.
There is risk involved in safe houses and it will say LOW, MED or HIGH next to the house you have chosen to invest in. The greater the risk the greater the chance you stand at losing money from investing in the chosen safe house. -
Inappropriate?One more addition about risks. In some safe house definitions it tells you that dont mess with the governtment. I believe and in some way tested that, if you perform tasks related with killing an ambassador, or like dirty anti governmentalist tasks, then most probably you wont get this revenue either!
So be very careful about your actions. Every action has a reaction :)
