Gold and Yuva debit cards
Hi there!!!
First of all, i was really surprised to see SBI at getsatisfaction. Whoever is maintaining this feedback forum here, is doing a good job. I think, Vivek Godgift took the initiative... good work mate.
Alrite, coming back to the topic.
1. Am thinking of opening a normal savings account with SBI. I am confused whether to go for gold debit card or yuva debit card. What are the main difference between the?
2. I tried searching for a picture of yuva debit card all over the net. Bet didnt find any. Can you post an image of how does a yuva card looks like?
3. I think by default SBI gives out mastercard whether its for gold or yuva. Is there any seperate form for getting visa card for the respective titles?
I hope i didnt ask too many questions.
Thanks
Sujit :)

1. Am thinking of opening a normal savings account with SBI. I am confused whether to go for gold debit card or yuva debit card. What are the main difference between the?
Both are same type of cards with same features, only difference is eligibility.
Gold Card: VIsa / Mastercard
Yuva: Visa
If you are between 18-30 Years, I would suggest to go for yuva card.
2. I tried searching for a picture of yuva debit card all over the net. Bet didnt find any. Can you post an image of how does a yuva card looks like?
The picture of Yuva card is also given at http://paypal.statebank.org.in

Nope by default SBI gives out Maestro (ATM-cum-Debit) card which is domestic by the way and cannot be used for internet transactions too. Its just because the card has 19 digit number on it and no validity end time also....
Hope that answered your question Sujit.

Inappropriate?Hi Vivek,
I recently got a SBI YUVA CARD but when I went through its manual I found that I would be charged 20 INR for withdrawing money from other bank's ATM.Can you please clarify this because I guess a recent ruling has made cash withdrawal from any bank's ATM by any ATM card in India free of charges.
thnx in advance

Inappropriate?Yes there is no charge for withdrawals at any ATM. Manuals may be printed old.....

Inappropriate?Dear Vivek,
I have read lot of buzz on the net that Yuva card can be used for PayPal Verification. But one of my cousin when she asks for Yuva card(ofcourse she is less than 30 yrs old) for it, that Bank person was so rude to say.. "what is that, we never heard. You are eligible for Gold, I would issue a Gold Internation card." Likewise he told,
Now my question is can we use International Gold card to verify PayPal like Yuva card?
Thank you in advance.

Inappropriate?I was referring only Debit cards in my earlier post.
