Curve 8530 stuck in reboot loop.

Yesterday afternoon I downloaded QuickPull Free through Blackberry App world. The download to my Curve 8530 went ok. After setting up the application and trying to do a “quickpull”’ the phone shut down and reboots. Unfortunately just before completing the reboot, it shuts down and reboots again. It had been stuck in that loop since yesterday afternoon making the phone useless. What do I do to deactivate the app so the phone will turn on again?

Hi Keith. I'm very sorry that QuickPull has been causing such trouble. Let my make sure I understand the situation correctly. After each reboot attempt, do you have any control over the phone before it starts the next reboot cycle? If so, try to quickly navigate to your Downloads folder, then use the menu key on the QuickPull icon and select Delete. Do you know what OS version and platform version you are running by any chance? I have forwarded this thread to our developers and hope to have the issue resolved as soon as possible. Again I am very sorry for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience on this matter.

Hi again Keith. I have spoken with our developers and they are certain that QuickPull can only cause one reboot at a time. If you are using OS 4.6, 4.7, or 5, there is a safe mode feature which disables all apps.that you can use to uninstall QuickPull if you think it is causing the problem. Simply follow this FAQ (http://www.berryreview.com/2009/04/24...) to start your phone in safe mode. I hope you are able to figure out what is causing the reboot loop and I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Thank you for using Steelthorn Software!
