Quackbot should contain, item specs, description, and reviews

I thought i made a post for this but cannot seem to find it anywhere. I think it would be a great idea to make QuackBot one stop shopping. As of now its just a preview, which is very helpful so i can see real quick if i want anything or not. But i do want something, some sites like new egg doesn't have any product information, no description, no specs, no customer reviews, so if i end up seeing something i like i have to go to the site anyway. Think it would make quackbot one stop shopping if it had the review, specs and descriptions as well. Also is QuackBot able to keep up with a Woot-off?

    Hello, again. Unfortunately, you will always have to go to the actual website an item is being sold at if you wish to buy it. Because of this, we've sort of tailored QuackBot to be more of a "preview tool", so to speak, than a one-stop-shopping device. We do like the idea of having reviews for items in QuackBot, but this is difficult to do without any association to UPC codes. It is possible that we might be able to merge the functionality of QuackBot with our app Edocrab to create a sort of hybrid in the future.

    About Woot-offs, as of right now the app must be manually refreshed (Menu -> Refresh in QuackBot) to show updated item lists, but coming soon we will have Push alerts in the app which will make true Woot-off tracking a reality, as well as give the app more user-controlled options and settings.       yea that makes sense i didn't think of it that way. maybe i misunderstood your comment but as of now newegg doesn't have the description like woot has is this possible to include neweggs description into quackbot or at least until edocrab can be integrated. it would be cool to integrate edocrab together either way to get some kind of specs before you decide to log onto the site to purchase. this may be a pointless idea or take away from the app but just throwing it out there. what about creating a website to do the same thing as quackbot. so when im at a computer i can check quackbot.com to check out all of the deals or a person doesnt have to download the app they can check from their browser. im thinking its pointless since thats what the app does but just throwing it out there

    Hello, again. Sorry, i misunderstood what you meant about Newegg. We are currently working on getting the Newegg descriptions into QuackBot. It is easy to do for most websites, but some are designed in such a way that pulling the product info from them is a fairly difficult task. We hope to have product into for every site in the full version of QuackBot. Thanks again for the suggestions, and let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
