QuickPull Doesn't run on Curve 8330 with v5.0.0.438
I have a Curve 8330 and did the v5.0.0.438 OS install. Quick Pull Free doesn't run. It installs but will not run. I tried the instructions from http://faq.steelthorn.com/index.php?V... but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

Ditto for me. Same phone & OS. I click on the QuickPull icon and nothing happens.

Why is the staff not responding to this? At least to say they are looking into the issue?

I have found a solution! On your BlackBerry Curve 8330 press Alt+Right Shift+Del and the same time and it will reboot your BB 8330. Same as QuickPull but without ads or extra clicks to say OK. No software to download. My Curve was at 15 mB free memory and after pressing the key combination it went to 25 mB.
-
Hey, that DOES work :)
I've got the Curve 2 (8530) -
-
It works to an extent. That method will reset the phone and it does help, but it does not simulate or is not as effective as a battery pull, which the quick pull does. I would still like to find a solution to get quick pull to work. I like the feature of scheduling the pull.

I disagree. I think that QuickPull is a soft reset (reboot) that "simulates" a battery pull but is not as effective as a battery pull. If you are need to schedule QuickPull, you might have an app that is causing a memory leak.
-
There is no difference between a QP reset, a physical battery pull, or a Alt-Shft-Del reset. They all reboot the OS.

I’m
concerned
Hi guys. If I understand correct, the OP installs QP but the app won't even open on OS 5.0.0.438? Is this the same issue/OS version that others are having? If you are, please see this article on how to access QuickPull's log files and paste them here if possible.

If I only filter by "QuickPull", get no results. Here's the log with "System" shown, that's the only reference to QuickPull there is.

Looking in Options>Applications, there are two entries for QuickPull: One says "QuickPull Free 3.7.2" and the other is "QuickPullLib 3.6.3".

I have gotten a version of QP to work on my 8330 curve os 5.0.0.438. oddly enough i tried many sites and only one took to my bb and it is here
http://store.blackberrysites.com/prod...
it will install an older version that works because alot of sites do not recognize the 5.0 in the 8330 curves, but this does work for me. -
-
I have been searching for a cold boot app since I got my new 8330 by boost.
I have NEVER used Quickpull before, but after downloading from the site recommended by William Sullivan, the program finally ran (for the first time ever), and I got what appeared to be a cold boot!!!
Before when I clicked on Quickpull, nothing happpened at all. I also have an 8330 running 5.0.0.438, and it is the first time EVER, I have gotten a cold boot without actually having to remove the battery!
I am happy until I hear otherwise from Steelhorn
- Psy
EEEEK - Nevermind - it didn't work on the second try . . . . locked up my phone -
-
I got the same prob, So why are they allowed to continue to market this if it doesnt work? I just lost 3 bucks cuz the program didnt download and even if it did it doesnt work and theyre is no none to contact for help so much for "support"
