I am using QuickPull Pro 4.0.3 on a Storm 2 (9550) and it has been running fine for some time. I have it set to perform a pull at 4:00a every morning. This morning, I noticed that it didn't do a reset. So, I went into the program and tried to reset it with QuickPull Pro. I got the "device will reboot in 5 seconds" screen and then the screen where I am to choose "restart now" or "restart later." I tried to choose "restart now" and it wouldn't let me. The "restart later" button would highlight automatically and then it would lock up. The only way to get my Storm back into my control was to do a physical battery pull (which defeats the purpose of having QuickPull Pro). I'm running Blackberry OS v5.0.0.713.
I really love this program and am hoping that this can be resolved! It keeps my Storm running like a top!

Hello, Brian. I'm sorry to hear you've started having trouble with QuickPull. If you could, please uninstall version 4.0.3 and then, if your phone doesn't automatically reboot, do a battery pull. Then, go to (http://getquickpull.com/ ) to download version 4.0.4 of QuickPull. This should take care of the problem but if it does not, please let me know. Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.-

Hello again, Brian. Could you please follow the steps in this FAQ (http://faq.steelthorn.com/index.php?V...) to send us your log files after running QuickPull? Be sure to do this right after running QuickPull so the correct data is captured. The logs are invaluable in helping us figure what is going wrong. Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.-
Hello Mike. And thanks for your help. I gathered the event log as you requested above and here is the event log:

Now, let me give you another piece of information that may or may not be helpful. When I was playing around with Quickpull last night, it did NOT work the first time I did it. However, when I went to get the event log, there was nothing recorded for Quickpull. So, I tried it again and it worked (and that is when I got the event log).
What did I do different to make it work? I'm not sure, but here I did time my actions a little differently. When I invoke Quickpull, I get a message that the phone will reboot in 5 seconds. I then get a screen that allows me to "restart now" or "restart later." The FIRST time I got to that screen, I hesitated about 5 seconds and then I tried to press "restart now." Even though I pressed "restart now," the "restart later" button highlighted and I was locked up.
On the SECOND try, when I got to the "restart now" or "restart later" screen, I didn't hesitate. I pressed the "restart now" button as soon as I saw it appear. In this case, it worked!!!
I also noticed that QuickPull reset my phone at 4:30a as I had scheduled it.
So, I don't know if that helps, but it's about the only nuance I could find where I could get it to work.
Thanks for your very fast response and your help. It says a lot about your company. -

Hello again, Brian. Thank you for sending us the log files and giving the extra information. The more info we can get about what our users are experiencing, the better, so it is much appreciated. It is interesting you were able to get QuickPull to reboot by not waiting at the pop-up screen. I am not exactly sure why there might be one way that works and another that doesn't, but I have forwarded this thread to our development team so that they can analyze the log files and try to reproduce the successful manual reboot method you discovered. I will post information from our developers here as it becomes available, and hope to have a solution to this issue for the next version of QuickPull. Thank you for your time and patience in this matter and please stay tuned. -
