two registrations same emaill address? cant transfer both?

i ordered two registration codes initially for my wife and i. we have since both got new devices. i tranferred mine, she hasnt now i want to update hers and cant seem to get the other registration code, all i get is the one for mine... i did use the same address which is probably the problem
