Where is the UPC data coming from? / Why don't some products show up?
What are you guys using for searching UPC's? I'm asking because I scanned a water bottle which you couldn't find but a quick search at upcdatabase.com pulled up the 1 liter Dasani Water Bottle. I was also able to add another item that they didn't have in their DB by UPC so that someone else will be able to look it up in the future.

Can't figure out how to edit my post above, however, just wanted to mention that while doing some UPC related searches, I discovered that google supports searching UPC's. Just put in the numeric values and you get a response.

I’m
excited about adding new products.
Hello Lou,
The UPC data comes from numerous places, and we are constantly adding more stores with UPC searchable data. Some things like gum, water bottles, etc may not be available. We are looking to expand more into the grocery market as well. One thing is guaranteed, edocrab is constantly improving - we're always working on it. :) We value your input on items that you would want to compare prices on. Feel free to make suggestions about things you would scan to find the best deal and we will expand wherever possible.
