New StudentDocket update for all devices!
A new StudentDocket update have been released for all BlackBerry devices. In this version:
All Devices:
-Due dates have been reformatted to display correctly on all screen sizes
-"next class" due date option has been fixed (this was released a little bit ago, but not announced)
-"Help" option now points you to our online User Guide at http://m.studentdocket.com. we'll be updating the site with newer information soon!
-minor bug fixes addressing issues a few of you were experiencing
Storm Version:
-fixed the keyboard issue several of you reported
-made text input and date entry fields easier to select
-made checkboxes clickable, allowing you to mark tasks complete/incomplete from the main screen (pressing the actual task name will still launch the task edit screen)
-made the icons along the top slightly larger and easier to select
Give the new version a shot and let us know what you think! To get it, simply point your BlackBerry to http://m.studentdocket.com

Inappropriate?So another semester as rolled around and I've dusted off my Student docket and added it to my auto startup when my Storm resets in the morning. With the latest version, I can't help but ask one question: did you guys get an onslaught of customers complaining that the font was too small and they can't read it?
I ask because the font size, on my Storm, is ridiculously HUGE. I wear glasses myself and the font is grossly oversized even for my bad eye sight. Its so large that hardly anything fits into the title of each assignment anymore. Please, please reduce the font size or, even better, add an option for the user to select the font size.

haha, actually, we DID receive quite a few comments that the font was too small for Storm devices. Good idea on user-selected fonts. Perhaps we could do you one better and use the font-size already selected in the main BlackBerry preferences/options. I actually thought that StudentDocket already did that, but maybe not. We'll look into this as soon as possible.

Great idea! You totally have my vote on using the system option font size! I believe you are correct, StudentDocket does use the system font size but only in a few screens. This includes the edit screen for tasks as well as class info. The main screen that displays the class & list of tasks does not conform and is HUGE. I've included some screenshots for you guys below to help me illustrate my point.

Inappropriate?I don't know what you're talking about, that seems perfectly sized to me :-P
Unfortunately, the change has been stuck inside of a larger update that requires quite a bit of testing before we release it to the wild. I'd expect it within the next couple weeks.
I'll update this board and post a new announcement when it's been released.
