Discover - Recent Activity problems

Yes,bigger avatars.I just can not see who those tiny people are....and I know them! Pretty bad if an avatar and person,you've known for a year,but you can't even tell it's them,no matter how long you stare at it!

When users keep changing their avi's one cannot tell who they are either.

I don't think changing avatar is really a problem.
If the change is not so often. Anyway, the nickname is staying the same.

It would help if the page showed the user name instead of just the avatar with the user name as a tooltip. It would also help immensely if the avatars were larger. I find myself doing a whole lot of squinting.

Bigger is better sometimes

I liked the distinct recent reviews and recently rated pages, and rather enjoyed that I could page back infinitely on the recently rated, and would like to have that same ability on the recent reviews...

Why is it they'll implement something in one version and then take it away in the next... it's becoming quite annoying...

it's not just about the bigger avatars... i want the avatar to be to the left... as the stumbler is the most important aspect, in this case. i want to see what they have to SAY more than the actual website they reviewed.

please bring back REVIEWS in the "What's New" tab.

I agree, all in all I'm pretty happy with V4 but I have to keep changing back to V3 to use the "What's New" review tab in V3. My subscriptions thumb many more sites than they review which, while great for stumbling (and I wonder how the recently rated isn't just redundant with hitting the stumble button), is pretty useless when I just want to catch up on what people have written. Losing the list of recently reviewed sites makes me a sad panda.

This request - to add in the "recently reviewed" page from V3, and improve avatar size/signage - is ticketed and with the engineers for their attention.

I would much rather see Recent Activity as it was in v3 as 'What's New'. Each entry in What's New clearly gave you a stumbler's review or comment about the page stumbled with or without a photo. In v4 you just scroll past lots of empty space, Url's with little meaning or connection to the stumbler's intended page, thumbnails that again, either bear no connection to the page or are difficult to see. The stumbler's avatar is but a flyspeck on the page. I find myself scrolling past everything with no interest to click on anything...and these are people I subscribe to! I think that really says something about the layout. It's not good....in my opinion. Rather than including everyone's 'favorites' in Recent Activity, it should stick with their reviewed stumbles

I just spent a few blissful moments in the Recently Rated rated V3...It's my favorite SU place to be...or WAS. V3 is a delight..so comfortable..like a pair of well worn comfortable shoes. I smile perusing each of my subscribed or mutuals comments on pages I can actually SEE. My curiosity is piqued by their choices and I'm amused by their comments. I want to see what each and EVERYONE of them has tagged for my enjoyment. Then I switch to BETA V4...YOU TOOK IT ALL AWAY ..My eyes begin to glaze over...First I'm frustrated....the miniscule font, avatars 1/4 the size of a postage stamp and meaningless thumbnails. I know I'm repeating myself, but I guess I can't stress enough just how STRESSED I get wading through v4. .it's BORING...I can't wait to switch back...how can you guys not SEE THAT?? I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.

This seems to be one of the hottest issues for loyal SU users. Bringing back a "Reviews"-only filter/link under the Discover menu would ameliorate much of the discontent with the new UI.

Now that the V3 switch back button has gone away and I am left with V4's Recent Activity format, I have to strongly reiterate that not having a tab or filter for recent reviews negatively impacts .the user experience of high volume stumblers. Well, many of the ones who aren't spammers, anyway. Recent activity is only a small amount of the true recent activity (is this filtered by interests?) and just not very usable. This is probably enough to make me abandon this service and my page submissions. I bookmark elsewhere and the social aspect of being able to keep track of 100 or so subscription's recent reviews without having to set up and RSS feed or go to all their pages was the main feature keeping me here. I am quite disappointed.

This makes me a sad panda.
