How does StumbleUpon justify the v4.0 release as being more social?
I mean, you guys took away our friends, the similarity meters and other "matchmaking" options. StumbleUpon was WAY more social back in 2005 than it is now.

Inappropriate?I agree, I'm not that chatty on-line but anything that encourages exploration in a potentially useful direction helps reduce the enormity of the web. Matchmaking options help do that. They're not perfect because people lie but it's better than stumbling about blind.

Inappropriate?True!
And also sadly that:
good inovations have to left the Building and Theves appear in the dark to steel them away from us like Peanuts....SU was since ever a sharing Comunity includet our Subs or friends easy to find....but know it is'nt anymore!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I agree as well. What does making it look like Facebook, shuffling around features, and taking away old features going to really do? (Other than bring people in from Facebook... Which would make SU worse, in my humble opinion. >:( )
Further proof here and here.
Thank you, and have a nice day.
I’m confused

Inappropriate? There is a similar post which Judefa created as a light bulb. Eiher way V.4 is not more social than V.3. It is more impersonal and less userfriendly. Friends are gone and mutual subscribes offered as a poor substitute. There is no way of tracking when your friends visit your page. That is a significant loss and certainly less social.
I’m unhappy

Inappropriate?Right, Judefa created a post called "Why is the decidedly less friendly new SU called more social". This thread could merge very easily with that one. (Maybe combining the votes/voting there also would get this idea noticed more.)

The big problem with thread merges is that almost always only the idea.ques.problem gets inserted, all the discussion - often much of it worthy gets left out and really gets buried.
Best thing is if we make sure we've all 'me too' both, and stick to posting on one so it get's more attention and me too's
