When scanning a folder or file, instead if Vipre full panel appears, only the icon changes/blinks allowing you to right click or left the icon to see the report.
Hello,
I'm trialing Vipre on the moment. When running a new program there is a popup with only 2 choices: allow or block. I like to see a third choice added: allow just this session.
I changed to Vipre when my CounterSpy renewal came up and I'm very pleased with the product. One thought though, when Vipre looks for updates it reports a problem if there is no internet connection. When I'm away from the office I only switch on WiFi at regular intervals to check for emails etc. I think it would be useful if Vipre detected that there was no internet connection and just ignored the update check rather than popping up a problem tip (perhaps this could be user-selectable)?
Under History cleaner: Need to remove the Firefox bookmarks options or at least not make it a default option! I lost all of my wife's bookmarks, and believe it was a bunch of them, and I hear about it everyday!
I am an existing 4 year user of CounterSpy and Kerio and have communicated with your "Sales" and "Support" depts before. In those instances I believe I have filled-in your Contact Form (or similar records) at least once before - if not several times.
When I revisited your Contact page again today I was confronted by this stupid set of fields to complete, simply to duplicate what you already have in your system. And not being a fast typist, it irritates me to waste time filling in this information before getting to enter my query. [I hate it as much as sales websites which provide shipping information and costs ONLY after you've entered Payment details.]
Why don't you simply request some authenticated information (such as Name and Zip Code or Order No.) which automatically populates the information in the fields from your existing client database? It will make Support communications more efficient and ensure the INTEGRITY of data you gather (by avoiding multiple, same-client entries with discrete differences here and there).
Hi! Just downloaded and installed the trial version of Vipre. Updated it and ran a quick scan, which immediately found adware that I could remove and did so. Vipre suggested doing a deep scan since adware was found in the quick scan, so I'm running the deep scan as I type this. I noticed that the only thing the scan details tells me is the elapsed time of the scan. It would be helpful if the scan details section show the total number of files to be scanned and kept a running count of the number of files scanned, as McAfee's scan details page does. Either that or an estimated time to completion countdown timer. Thanks for considering my idea/request.
