Downloaded SPF on 09/14/2008 from your website. This is the 30 day trial download. Then tried to install SPF on my pc but it never finished the install. I waited about 10 minutes before I did a cntl-shft-esc to remove end the program. Then I rebooted the pc and did a control panel add delete programs and the list that came up did not have Sunbelt personal firewall on it. Then I did a search of the c drive for all possible entries of sunbelt and deleted them all. Then I did a pctools reg clean up and removed all invalid entries from the registry. Then I tried to install SPF again and got the message "Error already installed". What do I have to do to install this software on my pc.
after installing spf 4.6 (over 4.5 or first uninstall 4.5 + reboot, doesn't matter) i get a bluescreen after the bootscreen, right befor the wellcome/logonscreen should apear, saying that the winlogon service was terminated unexpexted and the system shut off. i'm using win xp home sp2 (up to date, but without sp3). with spf 4.5 everything's fine.

I just finished uninstalling Kerio and reinstalling to recommended version 6.4.1845 (even tho "check updates on older version said nothing newer) and uninstalling Counterspy and AVG 7.x so I could install Vipre, just purchased today. I installed Kerio and after restart, it produced a box asking for host and password, which I have no idea what to put in. There is a box that I could check saying "redirect alerts for this session" but I left that alone and pressed "connect." That produces an error saying, "Sunbelt Personal Firewall 4 - GUI can't authenticate to service." The firewall looks like it's running, but I want to resolve this before trying to install Vipre. Kerio didn't start on restart, so will try that again too.
received BSOD no-more_irp_stack_locations after installin spf, after 3 reboots sytem came up, running avast AV. Uninstalled outpost previously and ran PC tools registry cleaner to remove all entries. XP SP3. Changed irpstacksize from 15 to 20 based on google search. Any ideas on what the conflict was/is
I'm using Sunbelt Personal Firewall and the new Sunblet's VIPRE antivirus/anti-malware. SPF is configured to protect against network attack (NIPS) and Host intrusion (HIPS). Is there a duplicated function with the SPF's HIPS and what VIPRE does?
Does Sunbelt work on Linux (Mandriva?)
I have been using Kerio, then personal Firewall for 2 years with XP, its done a great job. I am building a new computer and am considering installing Linux, am trialing Mandriva on a partition on my current drive. Sunbelt.exe did not run on Mandriva from my old program (no big surprise) so is there a Linux app?
I have trouble adjusting the Personal firewall to work with windows live messenger. If I stop the firewall / messenger is working / once I start the firewall, it will cut some communication. I am not able to find, what should I adjust. Up to now satisfied customer.
