Ad-hoc wireless with Sunbelt
I have a wireless ad-hoc network to share my internet connection with other computers in the house but it only works with the firewall disabled. Is there a way I can allow this to still work with the firewall on and also is it safe to have the firewall disabled if you are not using that computer?

The following settings need to be made in order to allow file and print sharing for your home network.
Under network security, select the predefined tab and hit "Set to defaults".
Next select the trusted area and make sure that local area connection has a checkmark in it.
Then under applications set "Microsoft file and printer sharing" to permit for both in and out under trusted.
The only time it is really safe to have your firewall turned off is when your not connected to the internet at all.
I’m confident
