Can't start Vipre from icon in system tray after manual update????
If I do a manual update for Vipre, once it is finished, I can no longer right click the Vipre icon in the system tray and get the popup. It just does nothing. If I hover the mouse, I do get the popup that shows status of active protection and email protection.

Thanks for posting the question. I haven't run across this before. let's try this, first right click the vipre icon and shutdown Vipre. then restart it and see if you can get in. then, If you have any other security programs installed on the computer, temporarily disable them. Then open Vipre and click on updates. Check the box that labeled "Completely refresh my definitions" and then click on check for updates. Vipre will replace the currently installed definitions. After updating reboot the computer, so everything starts up again and see if you are able to open vipre through the icon. -

Did what you asked with no problems. I could open Vipre through the icon in the system tray.
The problem will NOT appear until I do another "manual" update and I can't do that right now since there are no updates available. -

I've been out of town all week. Just got back and did a manual update and the problem still remains.
