can't update definitions and reinstaller keeps running
I had noticed the program wasn't updating for several days. Then when I followed the instructions in the forums to remove logs and processes that were running I must have done something wrong, When I went to restart Vipre the windows installer kept popping up.
Do I reinstall a new version (I have 3.1.1606.1) Running with XP.

Thank you Tim - much obliged. But I had found that Vipre was nowhere to be seen in the add/remove programs area. I did manage to remove the cluster of installer windows eventually by using the Microsoft Windows installer clean up utility. Today it is behaving itself and has updated! Crikey. Must be the way I'm holding my mouth? I did also uninstall Lavasoft Adware. Would there have been a conflict maybe? -
Inappropriate?Hi Jenny,
Lavasoft Adware probably didn't have a factor in this. Something may of went wrong with the Microsoft installer file for VIPRE.
If you need to remove VIPRE to reinstall or fo9r any other reason you can use the uninstaller below.
