Inappropriate?Actually just got a call back from Sunbelt Support. They sent me to the following page:

Inappropriate? The best answer is yes. :) We detect all known variants of conficker.
Feel free to post up with any other questions you may have!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Actually Vipre did NOT detect Conficker.D on my 2 infected PCs. The MS Onecare safety scan did, however. Prior to that, Vipre did detect the worm W32Downad.Gen (v), but did not fix the problem of blocked AV website access (redirects). After almost 2 weeks, I was finally sent SSclean to fix that. However the problem of a disabled Safe Mode boot still remains (Conficker deletes "safeboot" code in the registry!) Much time has been wasted with this worm(s).
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?James, we are constantly updating any new definitions for any of the new variations of the Conflicker threat that are in wild or being released. We should have all the variations is in our database, so we should be able to find and remove it from any machine infected.
And we are still working on your specific case as soon as we get the logs we requested from you.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Peter
