Inappropriate?Thank you for posting,
Under the Scan Options, try unckecking "Enable rootkit detection" for every type of scan, then run a scan again. Let me know the result.

Perry

Isn't rootkey scanning important? I didn't have any problem before the latest upgrade and I presume that the rootkit scanning was enabled in the previous version so why can't I scan now without altering the settings? -
Inappropriate?I hav/e been through this once no luck
and isn't rootkey scanning important -
Inappropriate?Hello,
Sorry to hear that it did not resolve the problem for you. Rootkit detection has been a known cause of this issue and we are currently working on resolving it. However, we will need to get some logs from you so we can figure out what may be causing this.
Please contact our support department at support@sunbelt-software.com or call 877-673-1153. Reference ticket number, 001-00-245250.

Inappropriate?I found out that Counterspy has a conflict with Comodo firewall.

Inappropriate?I had this same problem, Deep Scan does not run to completion, and I have been fighting it for weeks. The guys at Sunbelt Support really helped. I tried the RootKit thing with no luck and every kind of configuration. Finally Support suggested that Wave's "Embassy Trust Suite" sometimes causes this problem, and BINGO, problem solved. My Dell came with this program loaded so I went to Add/Remove and removed it. Deep Scan ran without a hitch. Hopefully that is the final fix. Thanks Nick at Sunbelt Support!!
