Definition update is corrupted
CounterSpy says Definition update is corrupted, do I have to delete a file and reupdate?

sorry to hear you had trouble. To correct this, open Internet explorer go to "tools" then "Internet options" here clear out you temporary internet files.
Then open CounterSpy, click on the word "File" then "download full definitions"
CounterSpy should then update to the latest definitions.

Kim, when you follow Mike's instructions, Counter Spy will re-download itself from version 0 to the current version. It worked just fine for me. Counter Spy is now back to its old self. -

The corruption in the definitions could be caused by just about anything, Static on a phone line, a week cable signal, a Thunder storm, ect.
If you encounter any problems again, clearing the temporary files and downloading the full definitions should be fine. I wouldn't worry too much about what caused the problem as long as your able to get CounterSpy up to date, you should be fine.

Inappropriate?Everytime I tried to open counter spy in the last months before my sub expired, I get asked:
"You have downloaded a software upgrade which you have not yet applied. Would you like to apply it now?"
If I was in the mood for some rejection, I'd click on Bring The Pain and I always was greeted with the immediate message:
Error Reading Setup initialization file
This happened a bit AFTER I got clobbered by some nasties that got by your app. Having been busy with personal issues I never got in touch. IT's for these 2 reasons that I've not renewed my sub.

This error means that the software download was corrupted. You can download the installer again from the following link. You should then be able to upgrade to the latest version by running the installer.

The script that Mike provided does not apply to the enterprise product. Are you experiencing issues with CSE updating? -
