Download updates for VIPRE 3.1 Beta 6

Hello David,

I apologize for the inconveniences.

What's happening is that when its trying to upgrade it fails and instead of giving an obvious response like,"Upgrade failed, try again", instead Microsoft throws up a generic error about it being a 3.1 beta 6 and to download the fix from their link. This is actually something that needs to be fixed on Microsoft's end.

We will go ahead and uninstall Vipre and reinstall a clean version. This will insure that you have a clean copy of Vipre installed and that the service doesn't shut down again.

This will remove every remnant of Vipre so that you can back on track and get up to date with the risk definitions. You will be prompted to restart your computer, please do so.

Now you are ready to Reinstall:

1. Click on the following link to install VIPRE; Please copy and paste the link below within your internet browser.

2. Your web browser will ask you "Do you want to run or save this file?" Please Click Save. Save this file to the desktop.

3. A box will appear that asks you where you want save. Look for the save in field and then click on it. Look for the desktop and then click on it. Then click save.

4. When it is done downloading, you will receive another box that asks "do you if you want to run this file?" Choose yes.

5. You will receive an internet explorer warning. It says "Do you want to run this software?" Click run.

I apologize once again for the inconveniences. Please let me know if installing a clean version of Vipre does the trick.
