Enabling WiLife Security Camera
I'm attempting to enable WiLife web security camera software. WiLife is reporting that "UDP Broadcast" is being blocked (Sunbelt Personal Firewall). In SPF, I have all "broadcast" options permitted under the predefined tab. The WiLife program "WERKS.EXE" is permitted under applications. What settings must change before UDP Broadcast is enabled for my security cameras?

Inappropriate?Thank you for posting your question. To create a rule for this application please do the following:
1. Open Sunbelt Personal Firewall
2. Go to the network security tab
3. Change "Any Other Application" to ask ask ask ask
4. Let WiLife try to connect to the internet and it should give you a pop up asking for permission. Give it permission and choose to remember this action.
5. Change "Any Other Application" to deny permit deny permit -
Inappropriate?Hello Pat,
Thank you for contacting technical support.
I'd like to know if you've tried turning off the firewall and then testing to verify the WiLife configurations have been set up correctly.
In the Broadcast option in Network Security, in the Predefined tab, do you have permit for all four options for the Broadcast row.
If it's still unable to connect with the firewall on, try going into the Intrusions menu, and turn off the three features in there. If it works then it's one of those three options that is causing your connection to be stopped. These three options should have advanced option with them, allowing you to toggle how high you want this setting.
Let me know if the issue continues.
Eric
