Excessive boot time on 2 computers after updating CS to software ver. 3.1.2708
After updating 2 computers to the latest software version of CounterSpy 3.1.2708 it takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes for both computers to boot-up fully. This problem only appeared after updating the software. CS use to be a great product and worked flawlessly but it seems over the past couple of years they have gone downhill and is picking-up speed. I upgraded to Vipre not long after it was released and had to downgrade back to CS because Vipre missed tons of virus' & spyware. CS/Vipre is becoming the next Norton's AV, too bloated and a resource hog. Whoever wrote the original program for CS, rehire them and fire whoever is your current programmers. I will not renew my subscription and will go with Eset NOD32 from now on. I'm a computer tech. and will never recommend CS or any other Sunbelt Software products to any of my customers ever again.

Inappropriate?Greg3000, Thank you for posting your problem. I suspect that there is something going on with your machines that is causing this, Since with the changes that we have made to Counterspy it should use less resources and work faster then the previous version, while still finding more threats.
The current Version is 3.1.2710, and your machines should have automatically updated themselves to that latest version don't seem to have. Please uninstall Counterspy using add/remove programs in the control panel, and then reinstall the newest version from this link, http://www.sunbelt-software.com/suppo...
Make sure you have any other anti-spyware active protection disabled from your other security software to make sure these problems are also not caused by any conflicts.
If you have any questions or continue to have issues please let us know.
Thanks,
Peter -
I did as you suggested but when trying to enter my activation code, it tells me it is invalid. -
