Inappropriate? There was a problem with our update server last night and this morning. It should be fixed now, so try checking for updates again.

Tried to update my definition today (6th August) and the problem is still there! -
Just did a manual check for Updates Vipre is not connecting to your server again to verify if there are any new updates or if i have the latest definitions already.I am getting server error message just like this morning when your server was down. Please resolve your server issue, thank you -
This has been corrected. If this happens again just check for updates at a later time. Usually if anything is up with our update server we can get it fixed fairly quickly.

Inappropriate? Is this for CounterSpy or VIPRE? If it's for CounterSpy, follow the instructions to reset your definitions. Since CounterSpy uses IE to download it's updates, clear out your temporary internet files in case you revieved a bad download last time you updated.
- Right click on the CounterSpy icon in the service tray (down by the time on your desktop) and choose “Shutdown CounterSpy”
- Download the latest definition file from the following link. When asked to “run or save”, choose save and save the file to your desktop.
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ihs/c...
- Double click on the downloaded file to update the definitions
- Restart CounterSpy by clicking on Start/All Programs/Sunbelt software/CounterSpy
The definitions should now be up to date.
