I RECEIVE A MESSAGE DOWNLOAD OF A NEW SOFTWARE VERSION FAILED DUE TO INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEMS. I currently have software version 3.1.2710 and it states current vipre version 3.2.2056.2. My internet connection is on, and I have the most current threat definitions 5111 24/04/2009. How can I remedy this apparent problem?

At this time we have not released a new software version. What it seems has happened, is your installation attempted to connect to our update server to update but it failed to connect. This can happen if the update server is very busy. As long as you don't get this message every time you try to check for updates you are still protected. We are working to implement new technology to prevent these kinds of update problems.
