Inappropriate?Hello Ken,
I'm sorry to see Vipre is having this issue.
There are several ways to get VIPRE corrected. Each of these would work:
· Log off and log on the computer.
· Shut down VIPRE and restart
· Stop and Start the VIPRE service (using the Services applet or NET STOP and NET START commands)
In case if none of these should work, please download and run this file.

Inappropriate?I had the exact same message today and found that all I needed to do was right click and choose "resume anti-malware service".

Inappropriate?I have been having the exact same thing happen on my main machine at least once a day for the last few weeks. Any ideas here from SunBelt??
I’m frustrated

Eric, i know all the ways i can get the service restarted once it crashes. But i want to stop the crashes, not force the service to restart!!!
All your suggestions do is get the service to start up again.
I want a fix or a diagnosis. -
Inappropriate?Chiprab,
This is a known bug. The service is not actually being suspended. On a small number of systems the icon is falsely stating the service having been suspended. We have tested and determined that the service is actually still running but when you log off and on or put the computer into hibernation you will receive this message. This will be fixed in the next software update but unfortunately, for the time being, there is no way to stop this message from coming up. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.
