How to create network rule manually?
I need to be able to create a rule manually. I know how to create a rule when I get a popup message, but I need to be able to create one without waiting for the popup. The reason is that the applications in question only access the network when I am not at the computer (so I can't see the popup) and I don't have any easy way to make them access the network on demand.

Inappropriate?JD, thank you for posting your question. You can create a rule by opening up Sunbelt Personal Firewall, then click on network security, then click Packet filter.
In here you can create rules manually. -
Inappropriate?Hi Peter, is there any way to get the packet filter rule to show up on the main page that lists all of the regular rules? Packet filter rules are kind of "hidden".
Thanks for your help. -
Inappropriate?JD, At this time this is the only way to access that menu. But we are developing a new version, and they will improve the interface in it.

Inappropriate? Thanks Peter. I do have one additional suggestion. It would be nice to be able to create a rule based on the log. In other words, I can look at the log, see that an application was denied access, and I'd like the ability to right click or press a button that would allow me to create a rule from that.

Inappropriate?jd, ill pass that request on.
