Internet Explorer freezes when viewing msn sites
Bizarre situation with Vipre causing IE7 to crash when viewing www.msn.com or uk.msn.com.
Only happens with Vipre loaded and only appears to happen with those sites ... I've updated to XP SP3, installed all other updates but problem keeps occurring!

Inappropriate?Thank you for posting.
VIPRE may be conflicting with one of your IE plug-ins.
Within IE, go to Tools > Internet Options. Select the “Programs” Tab at the top, then click on the “Manage Add-Ons” button near the bottom. Change the drop down list to “Add-Ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer.” Now select each add on and disable it. Once you do this, attempt to browse the web again. If it works fine, re-enable your plugins one at a time to narrow down the culprit. Please let us know the result.

Inappropriate? Thanks Jason - it was being caused by a Skype add-in. Updated Skype and it's working OK now!!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Thank you both for this information. I had a client who purchased 3 copies of VIPRE upon my recommendation, and he was no longer able to visit certain websites without IE locking up. He also had an outdated Skype, and updating it fixed the problem for him, too.
I’m happy
